I would advise against heating the pen, on account of the epoxy could fail. I would hate for that to happen right as you are signing something you put an absurd amount of time/love/devotion/angst/tears/blood etc into, and something unfortunate happen.
If for some reason the epoxy does fail under any normal circumstance, please let me know and I'll make it right.
