Well as far as trip time i'm looking at about 10 hours coming from Maine!
I only have a b ticket but am bringing my torch and tools anyway just in case someone is willing to share a little of their bench time with me. If anyone has an A ticket and doesn't have someone sharing a bench with them yet i would be glad to split the bench cost with you?
Even id i don't get on the torch at all it seems like the place to be and i can't wait for AGI!
FoSho- you have lots of friends that you haven't met yet, and we always have such an awesome crowd here... even the neighbors love you guys!
As far as the longest trip, Don Parker and his daughter are flying in from Alaska. If Charlotte comes back, she'll be coming from the UK. In the past, the furthest trips were Yoshi from Japan, and Orr from Israel.
We'll see you all soon : )
Tom
So this is kind of out of the blue but...how do safety breaks work at AGI? Is there an area or is it frowned upon?
The Dude abides...i just wanna stay in the parameters of the event and i have no frame of reference for an event like this. It's my first glass related good time learning deal!
Be gentle...
There is a rule against safety breaks on the grounds. It will be explained when you get there and it won't be a prOblem.
Cool!
Thanks Aymie, Your the bomb!
You guys notice the official agi site has some fancy names listed for 2012 demo'ers?
Link here
Also, this.
Holy crap.... that second link is sick.
Hey I think I'm driving as of now but I do have an open seat, pm me if you need a ride, I'm coming from wisconsin. Also on the flipside let me know if you have a spot to fill.
just saw this and want to clarify that there is no sharing of bench space. you have 4ft given to you with an "A" ticket. It is for use by a single individual. So if you want to hop on someone's torch that's cool.
if someone is willing to let you set your torch up at their spot, and the two of you share that torch, that's also cool.
but you can't split your 4ft into two working stations, there just simply isn't enough room, and is not fair for the people who spent their money on the full ticket.
See you guys in a few weeks!
aymee you goin or what?
No. I am sad so don't rub it in.
