Some new stuff

I am primarily just trying anything I can and want to try, ,I just want to try as much as possible then get better at it..

One day i will be making headdy stuff some day..

hey 331, it sounds like you might be getting your glass too hot for the silver to stick. also ive found that moderating the temperature of the silver is crucial too. i like to dip my silver into a small reducing (low oxy) flame, it starts to spark, then i remove it for a second or two (keeping my object to be fumed upstream always) and then i dip it back in the flame. for some reason it seems to fume best when the silver is heating up rather than when it is really hot, and you also avoid oversaturating the piece by fuming it slower.

ck - play around with a bunch of shit. I was going to town on the w/r's and now I'm getting bored with those. Switching up to blow ins for a little bit. You'll find too that the more you switch around, the more you start to pick up on the little tricks. You'll be able to see where you can incorporate some of those little move into another application. Start to see the big picture so to speak. Not trying to preach, just don't limit yourself.

Yep the red is kinda cool I picked some up and always try to work it at the end of the day ,the less its worked and the less its kiln really helps it from getting really dark.

i like the blueish black one the best. also like the texture of the other

the reds came out like ass

is that like regular red tubing you used? is it like a Elvis red tubing cause i thought it came almost transparent red...
but what do i know im a noob :)
if i was you and the red was going to turn out like that i'd mix some white or somethin in there and pull your own tubing. that red and white with reversals and whatnot would look wicked.
but thats just me

do you make your own tubing much? or just rip blow in and china tubing?

ya dont make my own tube much but i need to start, , I just dont have the right tube for stacks right now, gota wait till next order..

its red starts trans yellowish.. finishes ugly sometimes, looks better with a bit of fume over the top so i think ill try that later ..

Liking that black/blue one up there crip. Have you tried a blow in with the red tube yet?

Your shaping is really starting to smooth out.Your work is really taking off. Shape and uninformity to me really makes a piece shine and you are really getting it down pat.

made a few things last night,, fumed mIB came out tight. but didnt photo good, the pendant came out good too I think..

and I also did a tube pull last night and bender backs finally clicked and worked perfect 3 times in a row couldnt believe it,, i think a lil thicker tube made the diff..

I am ready to make somethin awesome, If I can get it to come out, I think i might use a blue amber purp to connect sections.

well see if I jack it up tomorrow..

just had a shit ass time today, grabbed a hot blo tube and proceeded to jack up everything i touched..

I got my can together and thats all thats done,

i jacked up the mouth piece wag it was way to big once i sheilded it so i turned it into a pipe,

coild on a bowl and mouth piece and it was actually lookin pretty tight except it was pink.. and sliped out of my tongs bout 3 inches from the kiln and hit the floor..

so im done wastin time tonight nothing good will come of it..
