Re: Rollcall - introduce yourself!
Hello Everyone!:evilLaugh
I am new this forum and happy to have found it. I was born in, raised and never left Las Vegas, Nevada. I was a member of the glass community back in 1998 - 2004 and drifted away, but now I am back and totally addicted to glass once again. Resetting up my studio in my new home and recollecting all the cool tools and equipment I used to own. Perhaps I can find some friends here and catch up on the new techniques and technology since I've been gone!:bouncy: Thanks for letting me join!

Re: Rollcall - introduce yourself!
Hello, I am a hobbyist working a Nortel Minor Burner, I have been working with glass for about 12 years. I own a bead shop and sell my beads at the shop as well as at a couple Art shows through the year. Hosted a couple classes in the shop and was hooked immediately, I now teach lampworking. But yes, still a hobby.

Re: Rollcall - introduce yourself!
Come summer(about another 3 weeks), I'll be doing a lot of dumpster diving....that's where I get most of my materials(wood, metal, etc) that I work with...
Made almost $2500 last year dumpster diving....I know it's not for everyone, but so far, it's paying the bills.
I look forward to meeting everyone. : )

Re: Rollcall - introduce yourself!
Lady Cheryl:
welcome to our home away from home...so to speak.
May each endeavor touch your spirit, may the material speak to you so that you can let out, that which is trapped inside...and may your artwork bring "oooooooooooooohhhhhhhs" & "Ahhhhhhhhhhhs " throughout the land.
You have been Blessed by GOD with your artwork, use it wisely.

Re: Rollcall - introduce yourself!
What up all... I'm not "new" to the forum or glass, but I have been in a self reflection and life refining cave for a few years, though I've been looking forward to getting back on the forum... So here I am. I'm a chill guy, and enjoy being helpful, so know you can feel free to hit me up with specific questions or opportunities that will inspire growth... Been a self employed glassblower for over 11 years now, done a lot of shit the hard way, and now I don't. I love this community from the shadows to light, and am extremely grateful to be part of this industry at such a ripening time, it's truly a blessing. :) if I know you from the past I look forward to reconnecting, if I don't, I look forward to meeting you...

Re: Rollcall - introduce yourself!
Hello all, my name is Dante and I first experienced melting glass with my cousin about a year and a half ago. He was ultra noob so literally just melted some glass. I finally got some real experience with a couple friends that have been self taught and melting for 1 and 3 years. I'm excited to get my own studio set up but until then, I have a couple friends to melt with. I am 33 and have previously worked for myself as a professional photographer and sound/music engineer. Originally from California, I moved to utah this year and it has opened the door for opportunities to learn lampworking and have been blessed to have friends in the industry willing to guide me on my adventure. My goal this year is to get a torch setup and start melting at home.

Re: Rollcall - introduce yourself!
Robert B here from Aurora Oregon. Currently working as a machinist. Been on the torch for about 6 months now and love it! Always tinkering with things to make improvements. Built my own high volume oxygen system and use a red max with premix top fire as my main torch. Thinking of making a tripple mix torch in the near future and a lathe. Mostly have worked with silver fuming techniques and am starting to use color more. I hope to be working glass full time by next year. Anyone with experience that will let me watch over your shoulder would be much appreciated.
