People don't call you ballz here, you just joined. And besides, you've been dubbed Spag-bob, which is too awesome for anyone to forget. Sorry, dude!
Hey guys, the name is Andrew. Been into glass for a couple of years already and started a blog since then to show my appreciation for all the awesome artists and all the killer pieces I stumble upon. I can't wait to get my hands on a torch and melt glass 'till my brain doesn't work, and hopefully expand the art to my hometown in Maracaibo, Venezuela. I see a lot of cool people around, hopefully I'll get to meet most of you. :chilling:
Little late on this, but lates better than never. :)
Names Alex, i'm from Northern California. Been blowing glass for about 6 months now, started with the intentions to make "smoking accessories" but have gained a passion for glass in all shapes and forms.
Hi Everyone. I am new here! I just started working in glass about 3 weeks ago and I am having a great time. I am a bead pattern designer. I work primarily in seed beads, but I was having a hard time finding the components that I wanted/needed to finish my pieces. I also love the look of lampwork, so I decided to take the plunge.
Just from browsing the forums, I can tell that I have a LOT to learn. Hope I can gleen some information to help me grow here.
Thanks,
Beth

well ya know the story, some crazy @33**%$ introduced me and now I cant stop. Glass is amazing and it has taught me so much about myself and life that I cant turn it into my job, but it is my obsession. Been at it for 2 years and I dont think I could stop if I needed to. Corning is close so inspiration is allways here. Not real good w prodo yet but I am gettin fast now. The market is awful.

I'm was mainly a coder/programmer/graphics designer for years but a few years ago a buddy of mine got me into glassblowing and I fell in love with it. So since then I kinda quit coding and programming to follow my glassblowing dreams.

My name is Cathy, I've been playing with glass since 2009. I work mostly with soft glass making sculptures for jewelry I wear myself and share with friends and family. Glass is so addicting, I'm always thinking of the next focal I'm going to make. I've met a lot of nice artistic people.
Welcome Cathy.

Just had one Worksshop using Boro in 2010 with the lovely Gail Crosman-Moore and now I want to try more Boro.

Welcome Alex. Welcome Joe. Welcome Corry and welcome Phillip. Glad to have you all around, this forum will definitely help you along in your glass careers. Remember to use the search function before asking any questions or cranky lampworkers will chastise you, and don't get discouraged if you get your testicles busted, we're all a bunch of sarcastic asshats..
cheers!
