Nice work Turtle. I need to get up to speed. What are you running on? (torch)
I got a CC an I love It! I really want footpedals soon though! I also got a mega minor that I use for jewelry and sculpting . I dont have much basis of comparison torch wise though. I would love to play with a GTT someday and see how those work. Im taking a class in couple weeks at flametree and from the pics online that Ive seen it looks like they may have GTT torches. Guess Ill have to wait and see though.
do you live around flametree? or metro ATL? would love to meet up sometime.
no, i live in Central IL actually. BUT I will be there for a class May 1-2 . Classes only 10-5 and I know noone in the area, so would love to hang out if your gunna be around.
you driving down to Flametree? we're 6 hours south on the gulf but if you find your way down here to FL I'll give you a couple days worth of free lessons because I see how motivated you are, I have been reading your thread here and said to myself,..."dang he's doin way better than I did in my first few months" and then I thought,...I'd like to hook this cat up and show him some tricks, then I got to the end here and realized your gonna be really close to here in a couple of weeks.
I can make really bad ass turtles, I havent made one in probably 2 years but I'll make one just for you and post pics. You really should try to come down for a couple days if you can I know it's kinda far but it would be worth it. Our shops not Flametree or anything but we got a bunch of GTTs and a lathe and all that.
you can see an example of where we are as lampworkers @
