Boring update because I'm boring, and have a boring job making boring glass. This pretty much sums up my non-on the clock glass for awhile. Bummer.

New seaco 14/20 forming tool. This is a far superior tool compared to the blast sheild one. Ignoring the overall better build quality, this tool is shaped correctly, is of the correct taper and length, takes ID expansion via grinding into consideration, is adjustable and better weighted. It was also able to be ordered with a custom lip and amount of material loss consideration.

What's the price tag? The blastsheild is ridiculously priced IMO. I use joints and reamers myself, but would have considered a tool at one point
$700, joints and reamers/blow molding/free handing or what ever other thrifty approach produces an unacceptable product as far as the company I work for is concerned. They're expensive but it's easily justified in our scenario. If I made glass out of work I would also probably have one, it's nice, other methods kinda suck....
Holy F#%@K!!!:dieslaugh
never seen this tool in person but i did get a hands on with josh datums new joint tools over the weekend. i cant say i have any experience with other tools but i was able to make a joint no problem... and you know im a noob and goofing around mostly.
