To any of you arguing about speed... seriously I want you to try and hand spin something less then 30 rpm... which is one revolution every 2 seconds... at 10rpm that’s 1 revolution every 6 seconds... that’s so slow not sure what you would be doing at that speed.
The speed controller works great and has great ability in all ranges needed in my opinion. And doesn’t need to change on these cost efficient lathes
I just pulled the trigger and ordered the benchtop with the 75mm chucks and 85mm bore. SEAM is doing the free shipping thing until end of February, being in Alaska I jumped on this deal! I ordered and the next day received shipping confirmation for 1 week. So 2 more days:D
