Hey what method of sleeving dichro, double layer suits you best Kut? Do you do the dichro flip onto itself or teased into a tube then sleev into a tube, then sleeve that tube with encased dichro into your reversals with lots of clear gaps?
And o yah, that blue with dichro, white one was ......................almost gonna give you a on point but there was cumin in it. Sorry
Now thats how drums should be played. Did anyone else notice the pimp in the backround playin drums with his elbow while hidin the dube in his right hand?

for crushed opals i just did what seemed right, maybe i asked somebody, but i just spread a bunch of crush out on a graphite pad, and then take tubing of whatever i want to have opal crush on it, and heat it up really nice and red hot, then roll it in the opal shards. it usually takes a few rolls to get it nice and coated, you can cook them in and marver them between reheats and rerolls. once you got enough you can encase it in clear some way you like.
for dichro i take strips and lay em down usually, unless its solid dichro tubing, then i have started rolling them around it. either way gets a couple layers of clear over top.
miley wouldnt encase her opals that way!

More questions though.
1. How do you crush your opals? Same as frit? I am lazy and hadnt found anything last time I searched crushed opals.
2. What are you reffering to on the dicro? Are you reffering to pickup on dichro strips fuggin furnace style? Or crushed opal with the dichro? I'm a little confused

Hey funk the dichro is cut then backed with color or laid onto color tube then double cased with 10 mill.
At least that's the way I do it. And I think out and I discussed that we both used the same tech years ago.
I would vac it but I use 1/4 inch dicho and I never have a outer tube prepped that fits. Plus I have never burnt it out when double 10 mill is used.

i had some cherry red dichro that was touchy even under double clear, but ya, we do it the same way.
I got a great batch of white china tube in. I put some thick sparkle combs on some spoons just to test.
No breaks or probs. Had em with testers and used,dropped,ect . Now I am going to try some simple bubs and dichro disc.
