I've almost killed my tank at 9. I think I have 4 or 5 left in the tank.

First 2 hours went well today, I'm sure every thing else will go to.hell now. Lmao

Damn is that like 2 hours with prep done (stringers, points etc) or from start to finish? I need to work on my prodo technique I think if so that's like 10 or 11 mins a spoon. Takes me like 25 mins or so after marbles, horns/tentacles/stringers or frit/points. Sigh, I take way too long :p What sized tube you start with?
My latest and greatest from yesterday
Fabeggrecyclers are on my mind.
I like that fade
Nice work
Couple collabs with the shop mate. Spoons and pendant by me.http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15...3de6f5d248.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15...beda6b4b5a.jpg

^---- baller
Woot! Still in one piece. The legs took 2 attempts. First set looked like fog horn leg horn ham hocks. The second set still look a little too beef to me. Next ones will be more spindly. :wannabe:

I know my bird's eyes were getting better when they started to follow you around the room.:eye:
I agree it does look lumpy when your super close up. However , It is only the size of a elongated golf ball. It's tiny, all painted on with micro stringers. I was out of my star white, so this is 99% origin colors including the new ivory. I did use a striking n.s. garnet color on the leaves.

Finishing nails to replace the kiln pins when they fall out huh? I will have to remember that one. Someone has a really nice torch and needs a new kiln. Your not the only one it looks like too.
Yup.... thats the "old faith full" kiln that has been a trooper.
Many moons ago , a young friend of a friend said he had one in his basement. Long as I did not mind the cat pee smell......
only cost me a slice. (50$) And a pyrometer. I ran it for almost a decade sense then. Some weeks it never even fully cools off.
I have a hot ass tools aim99digital, It only lasted a few weeks before the elements/ element connector melted after they were cut too short when built. (In a attempt to heat it up faster) I will have it up and running again soon. I can't really complain. It's full digital 3" thick brick, lots of extras, like built in handles, p.c. style temperature controlled fan for the bottom. 30 step kiln controller. Basically a aim 99lsd replica for 650$ brand new. Brads helped me recently in p.m.'s..... sorting out what elements I need and from who. Smuttyboy has been hard to even get on a phone.
I have a paragon top loader I can always use in a pinch, it likes to randomly stay full on wide open , and melt everything in under 10 mins. 0ld faith full is more dependable. They all are dependable now that I got a plug and play controller. ( also from brads, just by chance.)
When I need the bigger space , I stack the paragon on old faith full. Its just about 17" under the lid. about 18" corner to corner. If you think analog is tricky, stack 2 on top of each other, then try to dial each half. (insert eye roll here.)
We (42degrees) were going to order a 9169 120volt for the new shop, but they were discontinued. 240 only now. I still don't know if 240 will be a deal breaker at the new store? If so it will be a paragon f420. (still feel like the 9169 has more range)
We also just got the biggest vortex fan they make. it looks like a jet engine. 12" 2100cfm inline if I recall right. The lakefront store is in progress. Torches have been lit sense this picture from a few weeks ago.

If your going to use nails in your kiln, pre drill the holes , or the bricks will just crumble.
That shit is dope. Love it. I tried the micro stringers to do a beard and it takes a sec to find the right flame/heat base kind of a pain, but I love the texture of the end result. Fucking awesome sparrow
Nope got a Aim 99 ls last year and I love it. Use it everyday. I got a new digital controler for it off the site. I am waiting to get it still. It was only $125 instead of paying the $300 more for it to be installed at the factory.
I had a paragon but the element pic in the top would fall out all the time. I would cement them back in with kiln cement. I used it fro 10 years at least though. I got rid of it last year.
I saw the hot ass tool kiln being made. Didn't he get into trouble for making a replica?
The Aim was only $600 plus shipping $290. The shipping is the hard part.
Great work on the bird boro.
Keep em coming this thread is fun.
That bird is baller!

Beautiful mibs smolder.
This one has about a lb of dichroic tubing in it.
holy dichro, Batman!!
Boro...is that a pic of the new 42 shop?
awesome Stroker, love it!
yeah stroker that is some serious shit mang!
I have no idea how to use it really but it looks so cool. I know someone who would want it. They collect rigs.
Thanks for the love guys. Who's next?
man thats awesome. fab to recycler correct? whats the perk in the bottom? love that super long drain tube.
My first tube that managed to survive (3rd attempt ever). It was better at first, but the can cracked up on me from the china joint 2 times and I had to rip off tentacles and make a new one and put them back on or replace them etc. The mouthpiece also isn't super even, but I had a leather glove behind a hotpad to hold on to it which started smokin like a bitch/getting way hot so I had to hurry to remove it. I didn't want to give up. Though I am glad, on to the next fucker... I might have to buy overpriced hotdog tongs with kevlar pads to hold on to them with.... LULZ
