I have to agree with Stroker, consistency is a bitch for cups.
You may have spoken too soon :) .
Hopefully no will laugh TOO hard, but heres my 2nd usable spoon (no carb though)
It took me 1 hour and 45 mins. I had to reduce and reblow more times than I could count.
I had so much trouble popping a hole for the bowl. I did watch Essential Flame working and it showed making a mosquito bump
then blowing out the hole. I had such a difficult time with it. I searched on here for other ways and found 3 or 4 things that should help. I'll find what works the best for me.
Only reason I'm posting this is because it actually was the most success I've had working with a tube. I believe SnoopDog's suggestion of not using a blow hose and just stick with a blow-tube and the realization that I have to quit blowing it in the flame, well hopefully I'm off and running with tube now, just another 99 to go with spoons :)
With AGI 2016 coming up in a few weeks I need to try to get some tube sea-legs before AGI so I'm going to try to hit it everyday.
Heres a crummy spoon that I'm proud of :)

Being proud of your work and progress is awesome. Way to go! You are going to learn so much at AGI. :)
So it's been a while since I tried anything fancy.... but I made this on Saturday, and it's the first attempt at Klein style seals and rigs and stuff...and best part is, it stands up and it works!

you can buy a 35 dollar webinar from glass crafts website that if its the same as the class i took... which i think its just a taping of the class.... its great and you will learn how to make spoons pretty well quickly.
its worth the 35 bucks.... thats only a couple tubes of 26 mm
Nice Dougie and Mike :)
Thanks for that, I may do that, but I've watched a lot of videos from Revere Glass and others on youtube. Then I'd try it and could get it to work correctly.
I spent 3 weeks straight trying, going thru 1 and 1/2 tubes of 26mm.
I've been wanting to get back on the torch but was still tied up doing 3d printing stuff.
Last Thursday I took a beginners Class From goupon for a pendant making class....I thought I read hollow.
It wasn't hollow, but while watching and thinking on Using just a Blow tube and not a blow hose.. It finally clicked that I haven't been taking it out of the flame, and If I were to try just a blow instead of hose, that would kind of make me have to take it out of the flame.
So making that spoon was tough going, the Hole was screwing me up. But the actual blowing out a ball to get to the point to make the hole, was working fairly well.
So for now I just need practice. I will be getting a lot of knowledge from AGI in a few weeks. Last year AGI helped me learn how to finish marbles, so my solids has a good solid starting point.
