I've been blowing since early 2008, and I've learned virtually everything from this forum, so I figured I'd start posting my progress so far.
Any criticism is welcome. Let me have it! It's the only way I'll improve.
But first, I'd thought I'd start out with some pics of last month's disaster...
I had finally started nailing my floral implosions, made a thick hammer bubbler, and a couple of spoons, and was pretty excited to open the kiln. I found this...

The thing that amazed me was the almost complete lack of devitrification.
It's hanging beside my bench now...
As a reminder to set the dial on the kiln? lol - I've come pretty damn close to doing the exact same thing.Quote:

My 'wall hanging' is more of a reminder to install an upper limit alarm relay. My first relay stuck closed, even though it was mechanical, so I've changed to an SSR, but I still want to add another relay to shut down the kiln if it gets to a certain temperature.

I had a kiln malfun like that an got the flatty series hehe,,
lovin the sleeved lightning one of my fav designs..
bitchin', i love the slumpa' i wanna rub my face on it, and the honey comb marble on that spoon is sweet, it's like a small tumor. also, the hammer neck is nice, seems to sit well, no side to side movement? good work, keep it up, and post more picks damn it!
that pipe is post #3 is soooo sick. i love the colours and how it turned out.

Thanks so much for the comments everyone. I feel like I've been working alone in an underground lab and this is the first time I've shown my 'peers' what I've been working on... so ya, the comments are much appreciated.
The pipe in post #3 was kind of a breakthrough pipe for me. Everything just somehow came together, it was blessed from the start. It was one of the first times I really had a specific design in mind and actually pulled it off.
