Glassroots Art Show 2012 *sneak peek*

preparations are underway for the 2012 Glassroots Art Show in Madison, Wisconsin. it's still really early but it's getting exciting. the format will be unique, one collab comp for couples. is love the decider? the happiest couple will take home a pair of delta elites.

the other comp was tricky. we wanted a lathe competition but we needed 6 identical lathes. i've never seen two identical lathes lol. so, blastshield made them up! we will show the world that we can bring the market to the artist!!! these are a new model of lathe made especially for shows and demos and the winning team will take one home. 10k value! :evilLaugh

Looks like being in a couple with another flameworker and winning the competition might be the place to start.

Looking forward to it this year. We are coming bigger and better than ever. Can't get here soon enough!

damn, maybe next time there is a couples flame of my wife and I can enter.

edit: unless of course there is still room, I see that the website says 6 team couples flame off but I see 7 listed up there.

Sounds like a ton of fun! Wish i could get out there.

Semi-lost in here is this collosal lathe news! I'm looking forward to hearing more about that. For a decent, new lathe to be readily available changes many things.
