Herbert Arnold 40mm for sale
I'm selling my herbert arnold 40mm zenit. (the one with the oxy knob to change the oxy in the flame). I bought it from winship designs and it has worked like a champ since the day i bought it.
I have sold my barracuda on here, and a while back i did a few deals with VinE from alaska.
I'm entertaining any offers right now, just PM me, or e-mail me at glassfire1@hotmail.com
I'm only accepting paypal as a form of payment. I also have perfect seller feedback on e-bay. (kicksnglass)
-thanks

Re: Herbert Arnold 40mm for sale
Those things brand spanking new are $2600 from ABR imagery. As a current Herbie owner, I got mine for $1865 about 7 years ago from ABR... the same one as pictured, with the new knobs and everything. I would say anywhere between $1600 to $2000 is probably fair for a used one, with decent age and normal use. That being said, knowing how well these things hold up, I wouldn't sell mine for less than $2000 that's for sure. (But mine isn't for sale, sorry). I would keep mine and get a second one to upgrade my assistant's workstation thou. Due to the raising value of the Euro and the falling value of the Dollar, these will only get more expensive as time goes on. BTW: They are a workhorse that performs perfectly every time. Hope this helps with valuation. Good luck on finding a new home for your torch. Something tells me that I don't think you will have a problem with that thou.
PS: The L-Marver that is attached... Worth every penny! If that is included... get that torch. The only thing you could do to help improve performance is 1) attach a second stage propane regulator next to the torch to give more control over the flame atmosphere, and 2) get a foot peddle. With both of these additions, you will have a monster of a torch!

Could have made hundreds of thousands of dollars off a $1865 torch in the last 7 years, and wouldn't sell it for less than 2k. You know, if you'd sell it. I'd pay $1800 for the torch above, if I had the money. Course I dont(cough).

Just guessing, but it does look like the older model with that single port center fire the new ones have that lame ass 7star JK "wish I had one"

Re: Herbert Arnold 40mm for sale
You're talking about the new models with the old style center fire. It's easy to tell that they're newer models too(even though they have old style center fire), because of the oxygen knob on the top of the torch(among other things). At least that's my understanding. Older models are pretty old......

You have that reversed... the old style center fire is 7 tiny ports, and the new one is a single large orifice.

Re: Herbert Arnold 40mm for sale
New J-style have the old school center star. It is awesome, I've never tried the single hole center though

Re: Herbert Arnold 40mm for sale
FYI the OP was trying to sell equipment that does not belong to him. I'm his his dad, and the owner of the torch. I will be trying to sell all of the equipment and tools to pay off the debts he has left me with. However I will most likely be selling it locally here in OKC as I am really not comfortable with long distance shipping.
I am very sorry for any confusion my son created with this. Hopefully none of you have sent him any money. If you have any questions, you can reach me at canuckmuckduck@gmail.com
