My favorite part of AGI 2013...wow that's hard to decide. Seeing my old friends, making new ones, and meeting face to face people I've been friends with for a long time (via TMP) but have never met in person yet. That's always my favorite thing about any glass event though so I don't feel it qualifies as an answer to my own question. :lol

My favorite thing about AGI, is that I never feel rushed because we have not only a week together, but a week camping and hanging out together. That makes this event so much different than all the others. Getting to sit around, have meals with, and work with everyone in that setting, is irreplaceable and no event I've ever been to has come close to duplicating it. But then I say that every year about AGI!!!

My favorite thing about AGI 2013, that was different from other years, is Moch and Alex. :)

Having you two holding the reins (even if only partially for now) can only mean this event will be even better in the years to come. Watching you guys put your heart and souls into carrying on our dear friend Tom's visions and dreams was nothing short of fucking awesome. :D You guys rock, and I'm really glad you are an official part of AGI now. :)

Hey btw guys, if you went to a previous AGI and want a badge, make sure to let me know it wasn't 2013. I started adding the year to the badges. I'm not sure how else we should customise each year yet, but I'm always open to ideas!

There were so many favorite parts it's hard to pick just one. I guess I would have to say it would be spending time with great friends who share the same passion I do - glass!

Yes please. Alex and Moch did do a great job. I think we all learned a ton so I'll point to one of the funniest moments for me. It was at the IBS and Worm was warned not to get to fresh but he didn't listen so I put him over my knee and spanked him pretty damn hard...wait when he pissed on Shay that was pretty funny too. I can't settle on one thing, too much epicness!

Plum what happens at the ibs stays at the ibs.
Gotta keep the noobs guesing. Its even more exciting when they actually experience it for the first time.hehe.

Favorite moments are tough, but two of mine (not involving Worm and his worm, anyway) were Bates' glass torches and Barry's moonshine.

And fireworks.

It was an incredible week of learning, sharing, and friendship. My favorite thing this year was collaborating. A bunch of us made eye cane and swapped eye murine. Shelbo's demo really inspired us.

I was there also!
seeing Paul Katherman rock out an amazing 3" white and black marble was amazing. getting help from torchgirl on honeycombs and jellies was great.

I would love my badge best part for me is getting to hang out and pick the brains of all the awesome artists hope to see you all again next year :fworks:)

My favorite part was being able to listen to all those more experienced and more knowledgeable than I, even when I had nothing intelligent to add. Worm and Stroker had some great dialect to learn from. Justice and Jbob were friendly and wonderful to hang with.

Do I get a badge for making a day visit? Child Custody and farm work prevent me from ever getting a full week.

Either way, well done guys, hope to be back next year.

My favorite part about AGI this year was getting to work in Toms shop... aka the Bandhu building. Loved every moment of it because it was the building i fell in love with at Pipestock 00' and always wanted to work in it. Just loved the color and energy that was there and still is!!!

Favorite AGI moments.... Tim on the Banjo, The Glass Encased Hotdog Explosion, being sincerely welcomed by a bunch of people that have way more glass chops than I do, the amazing firework display, Zora Cane!, everyone being willing to be watched/giving an impromptu lesson on what they are doing, the coffee!, early bird goodies, torching in rainstorms, learning that graphite paddling spot reduces (shelbo), seeing all the awesome tools that people made, especially Josh's frit bowls, Tim's spring grabbers, and Eusheen's tweezer jacks, Plum calling me "Little One" at about 2 am, and did I mention all the amazing people? I knew about 3 boro workers personally before this event, and now I have a whole load of awesome glass melters as friends! If I can make it next year, I think I would really like to go again. It can only get better! ;p

So I badged a few people I knew were there but didn't post here yet, but I know there's still more of you out there!

This was my first year at agi and signed up for next year before I left. The entire week was filled with fun, friends, fire and great knowledge. Still haven't tried all the things I want to!!!!!

I could name all the names here on TG but you know who you are, you were there! And finally putting faces with some the names here on the forum is awesome too.
Coming in 2nd at the Poker Game, being able to host it and also learning I was trying to fill some big ass shoes! ;)

AGI is a blast! You just can't go wrong spending a week in the woods with a bunch of like minding artists who want ... no maybe NEED to share .... it's addicting. In my opinion the skill sets your able to learn in that week make the $700 a little absurd really! Friends friends ... and then more friends .... and to top it off I've been invited to join the team helping next year SO see ya in '14 fosho!!
