Yes, you really should read ALL the information posted below.

Please post in this thread if you want to be included. The participant list will be updated as people sign up.

You must also send me a PM with your:
Real Name / MP Name
Shipping information
Contact information - email address (phone # optional but preferred)

You will not be added to the participant list until I have this information.
Your personal information will not be posted online.

This is going to be DIFFERENT from many other exchanges and will hopefully ensure that everyone gets a pendant back for each one they send in.

You get back the same number of pendants that you submit. They can all be different or similar to each other. It is up to you.

The minimum number of allowable pendants is 1 (one). The maximum will be determined by the number of participants who sign up. When the exchange is closed, the maximum number of allowable marbles will be 1/4 of the number of participants, up to 6 submissions. If 24 people sign up then the maximum number of pendants you can send in will be 6. Any number of submissions between the minimum and the maximum are permissible. You will get the same number of pendants that you sent in but from different artists. The exchange will be canceled if less than 10 people sign up!

RULES

• Pendants MUST be made by you

• Anything cracked WILL BE RETURNED!

• minimum of one (1) to maximum is to be determined by the number of participants as follows:
4 sign up would mean 1 max
8 sign up would mean 2 max
12 sign up would mean 3 max
16 sign up would mean 4 max
20 sign up would mean 5 max
24-35 sign up, 6 max

I will also maintain a waiting list for use if anyone drops out.

There is no penalty if you do decide to skip the exchange (even after signing up) but please be courteous to other participants and let your decision be known as soon as possible so that all who want to play can have a spot.

• you do not have to wait until the deadline to send your package. The sooner you send your submissions the better!

Checklist before sending package in:

• Send in one (1) pendant to the maximum (see above) entries and you will receive the same number of pendants back

• IDENTIFY each submission with your name AND Melting Pot screen name
• IF YOU KNOW YOUR PENDANTS WILL SAFELY FIT INTO A SMALL USPS FLAT RATE BOX you may send $6.50 in cash, check, paypal gift, or money order. This will be used for the return flat rate USPS shipping box with a tracking number. This may not apply because of the number and/or size of your pendants. For you and for anyone outside of US you will owe actual postage of package back to you. When the marbles are sorted and packed you can send cash, check, paypal gift, or money order to cover return shipping. I will make my best effort to securely pack each box, and ship it USPS priority unless otherwise agreed.

• Pendants must be postmarked by SEPTEMBER 03, 2016 if you live in the US and postmarked by AUGUST 19, 2016 if you live anywhere but the US (that includes Canada!).

You don't have to commit to a specific # of pendants when you sign up. Just keep the number in line with the rules above and send them by the deadline. Shipping sooner is not a problem (in fact it is encouraged) but if you want the maximum # of trades you will have to hope the maximum # of people sign up. The idea is to be able to get pendants from a variety of people with minimum fuss and bother and to be sure that you will get back goodies for what you send out. This format has worked well for me as a participant before. It's quite a task on the hosting end! I will post more details as we get closer on when they will all ship - it's a labor intensive process, so allow a couple weeks after the deadline to get your pendants back.

When you make a pendant you plan to exchange go ahead and post a picture in this thread. You aren't spoiling anyone's surprise because you won't know who among the other artists will be the recipient. Plus it will encourage others to participate.

If you have questions, post them in this thread and I'll try to answer.

It would be nice to have a real name in this thread (at least first name but last too if you want). So please post it when you sign up if it's not in your sig line.

If you want to send in 6, send them in and if for some reason it doesn't fill up, I'll just return any untraded pendants.

Chances are in a few days I'll just set the maximum to 6 no matter how many people enter tho :P

What going to make my first one after I made a marble. Well. 95% done with marble. I lost power. Ran out of o2 and propane. All within about 3 minutes. Then managed to burn my hand.

Honestly just hope the marble survives. The kiln was hot. I think it will be good

Well after a lot of thought on this, I'll give it a shot...Count me in please.

I'll do the update on the list in the morning, just wanted to say thanks to everyone who's joined so far!

These exchanges are about inspiring one another. All skill levels are welcome, as long as you're putting your honest effort and time into making something and you love doing it it will show and be rewarding in it's own right. This is a chance for all of us to try new things, push ourselves, and show off a bit. I can't wait to start seeing what people are making - I'm going to get some done this weekend for sure - I'll probably hop on the hangout while I make it too, if anyone wants to join me friday/saturday some time I'll post here before I hop on - still trying to figure out my tablets bluetooth issues, worst case there's not gonna be any sound.
