We've got a few in our studio (broke the big one two days ago whoops) almost 100% you just blow a massive bubble, super thin, then flame cut it with a high oxy flame. I'll ask the lads when I get to...
nice peices. I go no carb, if it was a massive chillum maybe but generally no.
I tend to practice melting down to a gather, pulling out to a rod and then coil potting the rod. Rince and repeat.
Shit gets tempramental after a re melt or two but it's all still a learning...
