Looks very similar to the manifold Chris Kelsey (Vertigo) designed for Covington Engineering.

I live in Illinois and have a few nice bubs available. I sent you a PM.
I'm possibly interested, are the patterns 50/50 or 4way? And is the Moss OG or the FaugG?
Ended up trading the hand torch on Facebook for a Phantom, Griffin rock-it and a decked out blast shield.
I have a new Lynx bench and handtorch model available, would like to trade both for a clean Phantom setup.
I would trade an 18mm blast shield holder for male gong fittings.
Yes, you would have to drill a hole for the shaft that holds the torch and tap a threaded hole to secure the position of the torch. 80/20 makes Jigs that are very reasonably priced for drilling...
yep look up 80/20 industrial t-slot bar. you will also need a linear bearing set and a brake. the rest can be done fairly easily.
Marcel made the piece. I seem to recall it was named "Daybreak" but I'm not 100% on that.
I will trade.
Roll it to the tailgate, grab the handle on top, tip it back a bit and slide it off the tailgate. Roll into shop.
yeah, the surface becomes a skin of funky glass with a high alumina content. You can re-use that scrap to remelt but you want to use it last just to top the pot off. And dont remelt small shards or...
slag forms a skin on top of the pot. you have to scrape/skim that off it get to good stuff. Usually done with something resembling a long stainless steel paddle.
Have you connected the can and stem before welding the downstem? Its much easier to get a clean seal and bowl if you do it before attaching the stem to can. Where in Illinois are you?
Flatten bubble, open end like a coin slot. drop the coin in, and seal up the end. Encase and skin the surface as usual then build mass around the opal accordingly.
I just use a glass sophieta (sp) to blow into the first hole. Works for me.
Lorens recent Borosilicate art is AMAZING.
I see a few sticks of NS21 moss, and it looks like a stick or 2 or Polaris or Sparkly Teal. I will trade/buy just those 4 or 5 pieces from you.
Lead crystal is all about the optics/refraction and reflection of light. Especially when cut into patterns on the grinding wheel. Crystal is much more fragile that Borosilicate. Most people can...
www.stickerobot.com best quality/turnaround/options hands down that I have dealt with.
I used to do a lot of stuff n puffs. I would use a tube of 50x5mm open on both ends and about 6 inches long with a solid handle on the side. So it looks like a T. I could get the cleanest and...
Bummer. Sending positive thoughts their way. Heres some info - http://www.heraldnet.com/article/20130625/NEWS03/706259821/-1/taxonomylist#Marysville-man-among-4-hurt-in-Oregon-rollover
Most U-glass that we work with borosilicate has a COE of around 40.
I got a Darby dipper and its almost too small. That thing looks like you could dip a small marble and that's about it. At 2192 degrees max it isn't hot enough either.
