I think mainly because you shouldn't cut off the part that has the factory screens from gtt. I've cut my hoses plenty of times too, but never my screens.

This is a good place to post that tip. We've suggested it at times but don't require it. Some buyers require it but I don't see it often. Thank you for chiming in with good advice. :D And ...welcome....
