I've noticed that the brass scratches quite easily, and small pieces get into the glass. But I no longer need one because I made my own.
The name says it. I need a stainless steel octagon reamer if somebody can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Or if somebody could make one that would be fine two.

it usually takes him about two weeks to make them it may be quicker to get them from him I would think that would be pretty hard to get secondhand I know I would not sell mine.

I use them in a crock pot. I've put 9oo degree beads in them. they are actuality small hollow glass beads which have a high melting point much better insulator than vermiculite!
ITC Makes a bunch of different coatings, they have one that they put on the elements of the Kiln. It makes the elements last much longer .
No it's for anything, it can take temperatures up to 2300°. The texture is something like PAINT with sand it in it.You get no kiln dust when you use it.
I coated my kiln with ITC coating works great expensive but it last for months or years! Found out about it when I was throwing Mud google it
