Nice. Bought one for $1400 shipped about 4 years ago and sold it for 2k a year later. Now they seem to be at 6k which is really quite a jump.
Couldn't enjoy the wine without the cheese, so I say Happy Birthday to the greatest fondue place on Earth!!
I'm extremely sorry to hear this all around. Best wishes on a smooth sale and to the next leg of your journey.
Cutting these tubes for propane radiant heaters by chance? Did you switch to hydrogen? All the ones I've seen in pics and read about are hydrogen. Only other variation in torch placement I've seen...
I believe it is just stannous chloride.

For a long time I've imagined a reamer filled with wax, with tiny ports on it that would release wax as the tool was used. Brass was the thinking. The reamer would be hollow, filled with wax by...
Thank you heady glass. You bench burner lathers don't know what you're missing. Smooth transaction, I'd recommend this seller all day, every day..
Repped for sure, much thanks.
^ agreed ! Sick work man. The experimental green floating island things are awesome.
Really I'm not any authority on what clear is best this is just hearsay but I can absolutely attest to the fact that schott sucks for any metallic fumey colors and fuming. I've also had better...
I'm talking gold though, Nomad. These Canadian coins are supposed to be pure. I'd gladly welcome reliable sources for legitimate gold at current market value. It's not a pressing matter for me but...
It's definitely the old Japan stock. I purchased this off an older man on craigslist who told me his son of 40 is no longer working glass and that he was told the glass had been purchased years ago...
I recently bought up some old stock rods in partial cases. Looking to trade 3,4,5,7,9mm for Corning Pyrex tubing in any size from 25-44mm. Can add cash or stagger trade anyhow you see fit. No other...
Quite some years back I was looking into buying boules of corundum. Specifically the pink rubies because that color isn't present in our color pallet. My intention still to this day would be to...
What's harder than soft glass?
Absolutely nothing, now run along and peddle your pipes elsewhere because real artists have work to do.
Shit I think I missed this and I missed the party...
Why not convert this to direct drive? I had a Beth lathe that came that way and have seen others similarly converted. Is there an advantage to the friction drive? I've honestly wondered.
Zobello or halo perc or something to that affect. Just due to the way it's made the holes are all massive. When they released this design as a flower piece it was extremely airy and chuggy. Nowadays...
ZOB makes this perc in a few versions I believe it's called the "zobello". I've seen other ppl make it also. My impression is it's one piece shaping, on a lathe, wherein the tubing wall is pressed...
RIP Gremlin. Always good to see your work remembered and revered. Definitely the most OG mini maker there was back in the day and a hell of an inspiration to many. Respect

Are we finally getting more options for American made mechanical foot pedals in 2014?!? These look great, good luck at the show man!
The work is up to date and clean as can be, seriously glass lathe ability is clearly being attained. Good work!
More deets needed. At least the location of the secret cup...
Welcome and good luck on the studio, the sentiments shared this far are spot on. Good attitude and access to manufacturing knowledge, this should be a pleasure to see. Pics please!
I use protection, I'm not advocating otherwise just wondering. This kind of thing sucks and nobody wants to explode. It's like a bad acid trip coming to fruition.
