any of you guys have a polariscope in your shop? you might find it very interesting, i know i do
what sort of annealing / ramp schedule are you using on your kiln? are they clean or covered in dust and finger grease?
i clean mine with ISO on a clean paper towel then tweezer them into a clean...

if there is an internal leak, it won't matter what you set the head regulator at, it'll just keep building pressure and venting off. just had to switch suppliers this week from too many bad tanks.

the small u-glass tubing is already just right for graded seals to tungsten.
