Sold. Thanks melting pot!
Thanks burnthands, I think that info is relevant and probably a good assumption the hand torch version of each runs true to the bench model.
I just bought a herbie hand torch to replace this one, so that's why this one is going. I have never used the 8x8 or the 11x11 before so I can't offer much input on that, sorry. If someone else has...
Redmax hand torch for sale. I bought it new less than a year ago and it has seen very minor use since. Asking $250 plus $10 for shipping.

Ive got one Im thinking of selling.
Assuming the piece was made without sketchy welds you can take just about anything out and bench cool it without issues. If its under 500 degrees its past the strain point and wont affect anything.
Because after your first one you will say, "Jesus I can't believe that worked!"
Thanks for the update! Although that isn't really what I was hoping to hear, I use an opal on damn near everything I make....
After checking i was using a 600 grit abrasive, no wonder it was taking so long... I had a 260 at one point but think i left it at the michigan project last year :)
^this. Such an easy fix to make it perfect again
Thanks Jimi!! somebody give this guy some more rep points
I believe I have been using 260 grit silicon carbide, but ill have to check to make sure thats what it is. I haven't needed to grind my fittings until now so its not often i would use it.
The center reamer on the forming tool I have has a taper that requires a grind for the joint to sit flush. Also, I hate wobbly joints :)
Hand grinding isn't really going to be an option, i don't mind doing one or two that way but it gets old and wears out my thumbs pretty quick.
I think I have seen that same video before Joe. You may be right about it being about as risky as other cold working, most likely I am just way over thinking it.
Fife, that fillet glove isn't a...
