Thread: Classes over X-Box 360 "In-Vision"

    Icon5 Classes over X-Box 360 "In-Vision"

I was playing around with my X-box 360 in my studio the other day, and I realized the camera catches me working on the torch quite well.

It could be a way to do some one-on-one lessons over the net. I'm sure some of you already have an X-box, so there is no cost in any of that.

I'd be interested in taking a lesson from someone else too. It would even be cool to trade lessons.

Please let me know what you think of the idea.

    Thanks!!

That sounds kind of cool, I don't have the camera tho. Still it would be pretty cool to trade lessons electronically. I would have to think about it.

This camera thing is pretty cool.

I've been blowing glass with my buddy Otto today, and his studio is on the other side of the city.

    I like it..

there is a program out there called Paltalk, ( http://www.paltalk.com/ ) has Video, chat and Voice rooms all in one. all chat and Voice are free. they also have i think 3 pay plans for Video the bigest plan they have is like 39.99 a year or so.. and you can have as many cams up as you want at one time with the top plan. i think 6 cams up with the lowest.

if the person feeding the cam has cable or better and a Good cam it's just like you are watching tv.

just like other chat rooms you can make the room private, or kick peeps for being bad lol.

would be a sweat to have the room up and running with cams and all as your working. to have other watch you work or ask a Question about how to do something the right way if you needed help.

only one person can talk at one time. so it's not a mad house of chatter. and the admin of the room can Mute any person they wish lol.

almost forgot you can also play a live feed movie over paltalk. so if someone wanted to see a lampworking/Glassblowing movie before they buy it they can.

someone can set up a room say on friday at 12:00pm and post on here they are playing there new Vid thay just made and we can all go check it out and ask Questions and chat a little.

temp rooms are free also.. but a more perament one will cast some cash to set up.
