copper question
I have started using copper with some of my glass but I want to give it the oxidized look. http://www.timelyjewels.com/thirdhtml.html This page has a few examples of oxidized copper. I have done some in the flame but I am wondering if there is another way to get the oxidized look. Any suggestions would be helpful thanks.

Re: copper question
okay ive messed with copper befor. If you want that shiney copper look, if i remeber right, befor you incase the copper hit it with a reduced flame, then flash it in an oxidized flame. See if that helps..

Re: copper question
I am not sure why you would not want to use patination to achieve this look. It is very easy and relatively inexpensive to do. www.sculptnouveau.com for supplies and a quick education.

Re: copper question
thanks I was looking for something along the lines to both those links from meermonkey and ram. I am not actually encasing anything just using copper in conjunction with my glass. Its jewelry. Anyways I like the patina and oxidized look of copper better. Sooooooo thats exactly what I was looking for.
