Icon5 Help with heat resistant glue

I just took on a project for 1000 glass marbles with flat backs to attach to a kitchen backsplash. The marbles need to be glued to the glass tiles allready on the backsplash. My question is does anyone know of a glue that drys clear and is atleast heat resistant enough to stand the heat from a stove top. Im sure the heat dispurses very quickley from the stove top but I dont want these marbles falling off the backsplash when they start cooking. Any input or ideas are most appreciated. Thank You in advance. Peace.

Try E6000 it's an air cure, one part, silicone based, epoxy. It dries clear, is formulated for glass, stays somewhat flexible, and handles decently high temps. You may want to test a few before installing the entire project.

Your other option would be plain old 100% silicone or maybe a 2 part epoxy...

good luck, sounds like a big project... gonna take pics?

I use a UV adhesive made by Loctite. It is Loctite 352. It is a structural adhesive and sets by UV light and/or heat.

uv glue is good but brittle. E6000 would hold just fine and "give" a little if knocked around before "popping" off.

UV glue is NOT heat resistant. I do repairs all the time- when something is UV glued to a mirror, I use a blow dryer to soften the glue and remove the piece. In a kitchen application, you may want to find a way to grout the marbles on to tile or hardibacker board- it would a be more permanent installation.

You should be able to pick up E6000 at a good art or hobby store, sometimes places like Home DEpot or Lowes will carry it.

Oh... on that note.... you might look into JB weld... they might have a clear product.... just look around the glues section of a local hardware store.
