She weighs about ten pounds, Jup. I think the 4mm was simax. It does not really matter what brand... they are all pretty much the same at that diameter.

Keeping cracks to a minimum means using small diameter rod. 4mm is about as big as you can go without encountering major crackage. The key is the framework. I had to estimate surface contours by bending rods. Once the framework is done, it is just a matter of filling in, which is unbelievably tedious.

    Try something smaller first.

Actually, a good hand torch is next on my equipment acquisition list. I currently am using a very old Carlisle hand torch with a single orifice tip. I want a triple-mix... something like a linx or phantom handtorch that will give me more heat when I need it.

Do you have any pics of her in-process? Did you build her in sections, arms, legs, ertc and then put her together?

Is your wife jealous? Mine would be, LOL.

This word shows you just how amazing Polynesians were/are at sailing to and settling new lands. Wahine is and was before european contact the word for woman in new zealand, hawaii, tahiti and throughout the pacific.

10 lbs!! The hair is a really cool touch. phantom hand torch?!! i guess when you can fit in your kiln the scale of everything has to change.

i really need a larger kiln, 12X10X10 aint cutting it.

The framework for the entire figure was constructed first. Then I filled in for the next four weeks. My wife is not jealous and will be thrilled if/when it sells, but like I said earlier, my request for a live nude model was summarily refused.
