They are decent to work with but you are really rolling the dice when you order them. I used them a lot when i first began, they were great for practice pieces.

Everyday with this guy, i found a sale on seconds where i got a pound for less than 15. I still have them laying around the shop. I never used the cadmium colors much becuase of the low quality/boiling issues.
I use odds on lots of stuff as I am practicing lots of stuff. I ordered a shit pile of odds first's and seconds only 1 second as your chances of getting something you are not happy with is greater with seconds. Now as for odds you might get a bundle that not one rod is even close to strait. You might get color variation from stick 2 stick , not more that 3 or 4 per pound the same. Or there might be a slight bit of air left in where you have to spin as you apply or re-mix or not use for certain apps. But don't fool yourself there is some thing that make's it a odd even though you may not see it at first. I will keep using odds for certain things no matter how good I get and will always be practicing so they work for me. But let me say this there is no substitute for a+ quality color. When you work something that is way nice you know it and feel it. Get a little Amber purple and Blue moon first along with your odds and feel the goods too! I would recommend no seconds in the Cadmium color Group.

odds are definately a lot better quality!!!
seconds are not bad if you use solid colors like cobat , rust , caramel
