Here are 2 more pictures of marble number 4. I have a Wig Jig that is used for wire jewelry. I placed these little pegs in a random kind of pattern and wound copper wire around them making sure there weren't any loose ends. Off to the torch I go and here is what turned out. I decided not to add any color - just the natural look of the copper wires.

that #4 kicks ass. Very clean work in that one. I've never tried copper encasement, how do you get such a bubble free encasement? Stump sucker?
in the 4 marble pic in the first post, I like the one in the upper right best, it looks like some sort of sea anemone.

Miss you Mer, you will always be one of my best friends...
I've been working copper in my marbles for about 2 years now and it's just PPP I am afraid - I have heard of a Stump sucker and bought a 3/4" one but haven't tried it yet. I just make sure I keep the copper out of direct flame as I encase it. If you get it into the flame, don't breath the fumes - please!!!!!

Meerkat - it's 1 1/4" and you really want it? I did a marble show a few weeks ago and I sold this sized Boro marble for $30 US.
