Cool beans man! Definitely screams Wisco! I'd love to collab with ya some time, maybe Ill make a springer front end and send it your way one of these days.
What?! No Number 4 on the tank of the first one? lol Dig the bikes, I've had a lot of people outside the glass world start talking about these glass bikes they've seen, I say "I think I might know who made it". Post more brotha. Ride tuff!

Awesome work Steve!!!
What..Like orange county choppers? I bet they would dig on me making some of their high profile custom jobs for their clientele. Thanks Snake..I'll take a springer front, I'd be happy to collab. I haven't posted anything in quite some time, it took a kick in the ass to do these, not for anyone in particular, I sold a few last year at the botique in the Dells, but these are like marbles to a great marble maker, You have to be in the mood to do them, and the mood has been lacking recently, Like Robert changes direction with his networking, which is old school kinda, its the technique that brings back the happiness..thanks for the words friends, I just lost touch with what I've been doing and it feels good to be doing it again.

Really nice work Steve.
If you're on Facebook, Bill Fludgate (in UK) makes some really nice bikes too.
It ain't where you're from, it's where you're at.
Really.
your work is great and i am very glad you have found the passion to do it again.Originally Posted by steven p selchow

Thank you! Don't get me wrong, Im still passionate about what I do, I was just in a routine along with my personel life clashing with glass, not for the faint hearted. he he. I've had some projects on a larger scale on the drafting board, but with the economy, I have sucumbed to doing what is profitable rather than a high quality piece to be admired by others, but not pulling out their wallet to help the cause sorta. I don't know how some of these 30 plus year glassworkers keep it in check, but Im a procastinator so there ya go.
steve
So what's profitable Steve? I'm still a bit in the dark on that one. I've nearly given up making money on pipes. Unfortunately I'm a horrible business man, and am in a bit of spot where I don't know where to go from here.
THIS bike you made is the sickest one i found of your

you got really sweet work...those Harley motors were real dope to.
peace
I have a collection of pipes, but Im not a piper, I also have a lot of other peoples work, but I couldn't imagine having to make them for a living. Some have done quite well, gained recongnition as being the best or one of them, I've seen some sick work I Couldn't of pulled of, maybe the Idea of it, but not execute it on the torch.
Whats profitable...mostly what I can make, not to many sculptures I know of that still create what ever people ask me to do. Spun work I don't like to, but can do it well still. The market for that isn't what it was. Pendants and earrings are what people want mostly, thats over the 50% of what I find me doing because they want that. I can do almost any wildlife piece and make it look great, not just it sorta looks like what its suppose to. thats the advantage I have I guess after 34 years, I' can't recall ever turning down a special request, I think by those spun glass well drilling rigs I did a few yeard back, to a 3ft. pirate ship with all the rigging (no pic) Im still versitle on any object, that comes with the years I put into this, not because I want to brag I can make it. Jewelry still sells well, and will for a long time. I'm just lucky I know how to do a lot of other things to fall back on,
When people see your best work, you can work off of that for new idea, but you have to have a show piece to let them know what your capabilities are.
Man...that bike I forgot about, its all most identical to the one I did for Any Gregorich (borealis glass) if it isn't the same one...their goes the memory.
Steve
When i saw your stuff last november i was super amazed steve. I dont see many people doing the weaved work, which is what i originally attempted learning the very first 2 months lol. Until i met with chris (something) in Appleton and he laughed at me saying not to expect to do that for another 15 years.
Either way..Major talent you have!
Amazing work Steve...How big are they???
