can't help with pictures, but. gather a ball on the end of your source rod (15mil give or take) then let the ball cool, next heat up enough so you can shape the ball into a cone on your marvering pad. then heat the cone so it's glows and roll it in frit. then implode a bit, re-marver and repeat. once the cone is covered with frit evenly marver it smooth and apply a backing to protect the cone. you can even git it a little twist before hand if you wish. start at the top of the color on the cone and coil pot on your backing building it up so it's spherical. make sure to leave the tip of the cone exposed until your last application of glass on your backing, that way the marble will have depth but the end of the cone will be covered and have color behind it when you look through the marble. then shape the back, punty up and gather your lens on the front. shape the front and so on until it's round and smooth. use the light reflection on the marble to look for imperfections. once you're ready you could punty up really lightly polish of any marks and tap the punty off so the marble lands in your mold. go back and polish off the last punty mark which should be as small as possible and spin it in the mold to assure that it's round. hope this helps, when my cave is finished in a week or so i'll take pics if you're still wondering, but by then i'm sure someone else will chime in. good luck!

I have a video of a vortex marble I'll be posting on YouTube in an hour or so. It's not done with frit, but at the point where I'm applying stringer at that point you would roll it in frit instead.

Jimmi's description is pretty much how I do it, except I don't put a backing color over the frit. I just put on several heavy coats of frit so you can't see through it, so you don't need a backing color.

yeah now that you mention it i only use clear or if i'm looking for a certain look for the surface i may put on a certain color or a few thymes i tried more transparent frit to achieve a certain look and i added color, but 97.956% of the thyme i just back them with clear. i didn't really realize that..
cosmo definitely post a link, maybe in tutorials. not enough people make marbles, they're one of my favorite things to make..

I heard of a trick where you take a point, open it, pour frit down, close point, and blow frit smooth. Then you take a 2 or 3 mm punty and while the frit ball is still hot, slide the 3mm punty down the blow tube and touch the inside wall of the frit ball. Then you twist I guess but this is all I heard. I'm not sure how one would finish it. Anyone know of this technique?
