Hot Shop For Sale! Everything You Need To Get Going.
i have decided to sell my hotshop due to time restraints and a few new family issues that will be taking priority of alot of my time in the next year or so.
i always wanted to add the hotshop element to my work but after having the equipment in my shop for a year and still not using i figure it is time to go to someone with a better plan than mine turned out to be.
all the equipment is in great shape and ready to be used a.s.a.p.
here is a list of what i plan to sell for the hotshop.
1-denver glass 8 inch glory hole with pine ridge burner=$1925
2-denver glass 24x36 marver table =$450
3-denver glass blowers bench with additional roller option=$450
4-heat shield with yoke roller for the glory hole-adjustable height=$300
5-aim crucible kiln for 40lb crucible with fuji digital controller=$1500 (kiln elements can use a redo in the near future as the ones at the top were touched by glass a few times.) it still fires right up just fine and for a crucible kiln i expect that is gonna happen quite alote when you gather your glass.
6- two forty pound pot crucibles. one for moretti and one for spruce pine. =$350
7- 50 gallon drum of spruce pine raw batch glass. several hundred pounds.
8-paragon gl22d kiln for annealing bowls up to 22 inch wide and 12 tall with digital controller= $2000 new / this one is in great condition with very little use.
9-denver glass yoke roller and 3 foot track for blow pipes and punties =$400
10- ceramic fiberboard for the top of the crucible kiln 24x36 inch still new in wrapper=$150
11- 2 steinert blowpipes and 2 steinert punties
12- 1 sofetta or puffer for hollow work
13-large dipping ladle , fork and puntie stand/holder
14- 5 cherry wood molds of various sizes for form work and one paddle.
15-about 20-25 lbs of raw morreti batch glass
i have listed what the retail of all the stuff is and for the most part it is all in very, very good condition. the person i got it from hardly used it and unfortunately for me , i never used it.
i didnt list the price of the glass and the tools as i just havent had time to look them up.
i would like to sell all to one person and i think it would be a great start for someone like you or me who doesnt have the experience to justify the large crucible kiln cost.
all in all it is over $8500 worth of stuff and i will sell the whole thing for $4000
other than new elements for the crucible kiln, all the stuff is in like new condtion.
i am in knoxville , tn. and have a trailer to deliver the stuff up to 200 miles as long as we agree on a reasonable price plus my gas to deliver.
thanks, jay

I wish my wife would let me... I've been seriously considering getting set up like this. Damn economy, why couldn't you offer this two years ago? Why God? Why?.........sorry about that. Cool set up though.

Re: Hot Shop For Sale! Everything You Need To Get Going.
hello all,
sorry i have not been active on this thread but i have been dealing with my mom and her brother who were both diagnosed with cancer at damn near the same time. FUCK YOU CANCER!!!!!!!!sorry i had to rant for a second.(my uncle is terminal which makes it that much more difficult)
it has been very demanding of my time and i have let alot of business and personal things go because of it.
i am back home for a few weeks and i still have the glass shop although i have had tons of interest via p.m. since the post went up.
there are a few more items i plan to include which are a big hand torch with the gas - saver unit, and a carlisle hand torch as well as some good hoses and i may even throw in some regs.
let me know if there is anything i can answer.
thanks all, jay whyte
