elvis if it comes in frit. If not get the hammer out.
I'm looking for a Boro frit that comes out blood red. What's the best frit to achieve this color?
Thanks,
Meagn
elvis if it comes in frit. If not get the hammer out.
elvis for oxygen rich blood, cherrywood for non o2 rich blood
Elvis does come in frit, and looks awesome. Nice even strike regardless how you work it. But it does cost about twice as much as NS. Oh and their "fine" size is smaller than what I'm used to, its almost powder.
Rust is also a good blood red when used on the surface, and its opaque rather than translucent like elvis and garnet etc... but if you are using it on the inside it tends to end up a little pinkish.
I have the strange feeling that I've forgotten all of this before.
I've had good luck with Ruby...

elvis frit is great, way too expensive though paul. $12 for 2 oz???!!!
cherrywood works great as well, but has VERY specific striking needs
