hi i got some new stuff i made gong slide holders and 2 new slides

what do you call those slides? do you call them german style (like the roor ones)because of the huge hole, most people over here dont know push style slides with the little hole to snap through.....

so tell me what you think i think next time ill make some marbles or horns with color inside and attach them

    groupshot

and 2 new slides one is persimmon strike and amber purple on a amber 18.8 joint
and the second one is unobtanium honeycombed 14.5 joint

    kind regards

loving it, I'd say go bigger on the feet in the future for better stability long term, and perhaps a larger chamber in the feet, some folks like to fill em with cleaning solutin and shake it with the slide on to clean the whole jig

a buddy wants a diffused downstem with slits

i have a dremel but wich saw/blade do you use to cut the slits

    anneal before cutting the slits?

and can i firepolish it after cutting?

how do you cut them? under water? are there any tricks?

i bought a dremel saw and it worked, abuddy brought a broken downstem i coiled dap on that blew it out teardrop shape let it cool down and then i took thge dremel to make the slits, it worked but i think about putting it in the kiln to heat it up so i can fire polish the slits

polish em. you prolly dont need to kiln, just gradually introduce into a bushy flame at first. at a distance...

hi i have some questions about doing things

i want to make sections that i can weld together and make something out of it

    how do i do that

mak a section garage it make the next one and weld them together

and then bench cool it or anneal it and when you work with it the other day do you put it in the kiln to heat it up?

so i can prepare some sections and collect them until i know what to do wit them?

i have many questions to ask in my head but i cannot remember one now, and here whre i live is nobody i could ask
    kind regards frank

hi man, im just a retard, but what i do for sections, is i got a tube pull, and i keep that in the kiln. if i want a section, i take one off, put the pull back in the kiln, then i got a section either on a blowtube or a punty, and then i leave it in the kiln too with a cold handle sticking out to work with, then i take another section off my tube pull and then join the two pieces together. i always leave a piece thats not being worked on in the kiln. another good thing is not to direct flame at a part of your work that has been allowed to cool.

thanks man it is dap and honeycombed with clear dots on the bottom side, above that is a ring of jet black i think, i coiled one round of black and the rest dap then blew it out thin and dottet the dap with clear meltet it in and blew it out again , and dottet it again with clear, i hoped to get no clar lip but as i removed the tube there was too much clear i had to take away so it has a clear lip now

i think its cool how the bottom side looks honeycombed and the inside of the dish like a implosion

i dont know how to price theese things

i thought a simple slide for 20 euros
and the oildome set with dish and dabber and 3 nails for 40 euro
and a slide with a dichro marble thing or an implosion for like 25 or 30 euro

is that ok or too cheap, i think its too pricey everytime even when i give it to my buddy for the costs of only a few bucks
    ???

    kind regards frank

if its crackin when laying color just pre heat the tube a lil bit....i always just lay the clear over the color then i melt everything in..what do you mean it gets distorted? its getting longer and thinner because your pulling your hands apart when twisting.. just use a small flame heat a small area and twist and give a lil puff if needed.. ill stripe about 2.5 3" down a 9.5mm tube then cover in clear..then melt it all in and i pull it to get more out of the tube...3" turns into like 5.5 or so then wag it up and condence that into like a quarter sized rball..

i think the tube i use is too big its 26mm heavy wall, then i stripe down and melt in then i stripe down the clear and melt that in too, then it is super heavy, i see you are using 9,5mm, maybe thats the trick, but doesnt it get too thin when you blow it into a ball or do you have enough color and clear on it , i think thats it the tube i am using is too big, when i covered it its wall is nearly 7mm thick

i do it on what ever sized tube i need...dont it on 32mm..i only use the 9.5 for r-balls..and the walls stay thick..cause im condencing 5-6" into 1"... but i never melt the color in before putting clear...i lay the color then lay the clear right after that..then i melt it all in
