    Default Glass in Metal Setting...

    Check out this, In the 4th or 5th pic down it shows an artist filling the metal cavities of this necklace with glass...

    with the COE of both materials being so different how do you think they anneal this glass?

    you could anneal the glass as long as the temp in the kiln isnt high enough to melt the metel i think...

    glass enamels it's a little different then what you may be thinking.
    Clasina comes to mind.

    That's NOT enamel, and silver with soft glass is no problem. Both the softening and annealing points of silver are well below Effetre annealing point. You just have to pickle/buff it after annealing.

    I fuse steel and/or silver into my sculptures with no problems...

    Yup...probably from the 104 crowd. I've seen videos of the Italians using fatter rods than we tend to get here.

    Pretty stuff, the necklace, not the model's creepy eye makeup *shudder*
