Happy 10th birthday to our forum!

The Melting Pot has had another year gone by believe it or not…already! Happy 10th Birthday.

(Founded: 06/01/00)

It was so hectic for me to run the forum party last year that I feel I didn’t do a very good job, so I’m not going to try again this year.

However, the forum still has a few costs we could use some help with.

Some of the things we raise money for every year are our servers, domain names, software, and business fees, which runs us about $1290 a year. I’m hoping some of you out there can help us raise these fees.

If you are able to do an auction or sale and sponsor our forum, please post your link here in this thread. If you want to throw down a few bucks, we have a donation button on the top right side under your PM box, or you can PM me to use a cc or check.

And as always, anyone who sponsors the forum will get the GLDG Flame badge by your avatar to let all your friends know just how cool you are.

I will post if we reach our mark, but I know it’s tough times out there for everyone right now.

A wicked 10 years has gone by. Thank you again to anyone who has sponsored the forum in the past, and those of you who are just now getting your first flame.

nice its actualy been a bit more then 10 really. the original forum crashed and burned and we lost everything after the first yr+ a bit. thanks again kristian for creating a community like no other before it in the glass world. a place wherre we can share our ideas freely.

Come on folks, surely I am not the only one who has donated......... I know times are tough and money is lean, but Misha and Matt are going through the same as the rest of us. I had no idea the forums yearly maintenance and operating cost were so high............ We all come here to relax and unwind with a really cool group of folks, so skip that steak or bottle of Jack and send the money to our honey............

Lot of hassle for Misha to have to organize and run the forum birthday event, seems like it lasted months last year .....................

So let's all reach down into our pockets and get that CC out, we all know yous guys don't look at the statement, you just send the payment......... If everybody would donate $20 then we would only need 63 more donations ......

well if you put it that way, it's done. 20 for me and 20 for someone else who truly can't afford it. as for the rest the rest of you who can afford it ,come on kick down , it's only 20 dollars. and if 20 is really to much , how about 10 or 5 or even 1.............every dollar counts.
