post a video of it running for me when you get it... like @ 30 psi oxy, 40, and 50. and just cycle through the flames with the pancake reg on it.
im just curious how they hold up over the years and if there's anything different about the older ones
do you have an air compressor?
thanks!

If anyone hears about another one of these, let me know. I will pay whatever it takes to get a herbie.

will do.. I don't have an air compressor and I was told it hadn't been used with one either. Do you recommend that it be used with air?

hey Aymie - how much is your soul worth roughly? also what do you mean by two knobs? the two lower air knobs? which knobs are you talking aboot for old school herbies?

Re: HA 40 mm $1,600 OBO
i think she means one with no air function... silly girl
a herbie without an air compressor is like a BLT without bacon. it's still a sandwich, i'm just sayin......
edit.... that was my 666th post. enjoy the evil bitches

Re: HA 40 mm $1,600 OBO
Don't the new ones have separate knobs for the center fire and two more for the outer rings? As opposed to the old ones that have one knob for propane and one for oxy.
And the value of my soul changes from day to day. However, in the event of someone being willing to trade, I will gladly absolve my sins so the soul will be good as new when it comes to whoever wants it.

Re: HA 40 mm $1,600 OBO
there is a new centerfire style, that has independent gas and oxy controls. it's pretty nice, but i much prefer the old style centerfire for what i do
HA's have no gas control btw... just the handwheel that opens up the successive rings. gas control is what an adjustable regulator before your pancake reg is for (cut the gas for oxydizing flames). instead of a gas knob, they're tuned for a certain range. it's kind of like the gas knob is all the way open all the time. this is why you don't run one on 5psi propane direct to the torch, but rather .75psi. 5 is way to much with the knobs all the way open. the idea is to have a very soft velocity flame at low pressure. thats why their flame is so unique, low pressure fuels = enveloping flame

Re: HA 40 mm $1,600 OBO
Well...if you hear of anyone else who has one to get rid of...or you want to let me have yours ...I have money right now. I will have the money until I find a damn herbie. I don't want a 65...but Buck does...and he said he will keep an eye out for a 40 for me if I look for a 65 for him. So any herbie I find is good.
