well i am gonna have to officially bow out since i cant seem to make a piece that i feel will work for this thing.

not that i havent tried either. for some reason i am hittin every fumbling block i can find on a build lately.

i was trying to make a really over the top piece for this with lots of pattern work, donut, drop stem transion joint, horn( fucker!!!)

this is the piece that i was gonna use but i cant send it to anyone as i am just not happy. i tried but i am truly just not happy with this one.
the slide isnt with this but i needed something to put in the hole.
it stands 14 inches tall. maybe i will sandblast it and see what i think? cant hurt..

bottom of can got totally f-ed up when i went to put the horn on. i didnt have enough heat in it and completely messed up the can, then let it get cold and crack which led to the overall ugly look to the bottom of can.
i still have alot to learn about assembly.

sorry for the longwinded explanation, but i wanted to show you guys how much i was trying to get in the box and play too.

next time i am in for sure. i will have my shit together by then!

great lookin work so far guys. now everyone that actually can build something, needs to post their pics...

so not alot of actual entries... i think im gonna extend the deadline out a little and see if some stragglers manage to submit something... and speaking of straggler heres my pix.. Mostly happy with the piece but this is completely pulled from the ashes a couple of times and is no where close to the original design. -sigh- oh yeah its made entirely with amazon bronze size 70 frit except the eye milli and stands exactly 11 inches tall

Don't give up jay! Gonna let a few more days go by and pm the people on the list. It would be nice to get a few more entries... So many people signed up there should be more glass coming. (crossing fingers)

well if the time is being extended then i will still play. i dont want to hold you fellas up though.
i cant melt until monday but i have several sections ready to go and see no reason other than my being a squid, that i cant have it ready by then.

im gonna make it anyway , as i still have to talk to the glass gods..hehe.

i know i said i wasnt melting until tomorrow but i couldnt sleep last night so i decided to go out and melt something.
damn it is getting cold at night. it was 29 when i came in at 4 a.m.. brrrr.

should be able to open the kiln in an hour, maybe less. its at 200 and i like to see it below 150 before i open door.

i am very excited to see what comes out of the kiln. i think its gonna be a baller as long as i dont find any unexpected surprises today.

    pics coming soon.

    last nights efforts.

this was alot of work for me but i am very happy with it.

fully functional and it even chogs like crazy with no backsplash.

my first attempt at this scale with any details and it is something i want to pursue a bit more. really have to stay focussed on the job or it is super easy to overmelt the parts.

this was the last of some fire/ice vac stac tube i made recently. also my first snorkel carb.

thanks for lookin. more detail shots will be on my pipe thread. i hate double postin and i am about out of picture room.

p.s. i need you guys to tell me if this is up to your standards? we never discussed minis so i dont want to shove a tiny masterpiece down anyones throat.haha. serious, if you dont want a mini in it, i have no probs.

    later,
