Just thought i would FINALLY get a progression going after a lil over 2 years on the torch.

Thanks guys for the kind words! I am having way too much fun lately and i must say Riley inspitred me with his disc bubs.

the similaries show, but i have really been enjoying designing my own perc techs and stuff.

Extremely saddening news. His talent and smarts are obvious in his work. My heart goes out to his family and friends....

wow his work is amazing... in the start of the thread when he was naming off the percs i was think it was gonna be a seperate piece for each one...scrooling down i got goosebumbs lol that piece is awesome... its sooo sad that the good die young.. my thoughts, prayers and condolances to his family

THANKS to each and every one of you who spurned him on here @ the Melting Pot. He had a desire that he just couldn't contain and he wasn't happy if he went very long without seeing his torch blazing full bore.

Special love and respect goes out to Turtle Glass. We kinda freaked out a bit when he told us there were folks livin in the driveway in an RV that had a glass blowing studio set up inside...especially after a few weeks...LOL...

but later...after you left..he told us that those weeks you guys shared and the colab projects you created were some of THE MOST EXCELLENT TIMES he had ever had with a torch in his hand. I know this is because he was sharing that time with peeps who SHARED THE SAME LOVE he had for glass. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Call or PM if you wanna touch base or if you know where any of his peices may be in shops in NM. We ended up with a few marbles and beads and some bubs...but not near enough. (but I would always say that even if I had every piece he ever madel)

I have plans to have some of his reticello marble designs inked onto my body to honor his work.

Like the spirals, my love for him will never die

WOW very well said! Been meaning to touch base with you PAT. Its been hard for me as well. I have a surprise for Hunter and yall. Joey (JET) and Caleb, fellow glass artists and our freinds from Phoenix got together with a few other artists I believe bought back the collab bubs I sold in phoenix. ANd then gifted them to me at the DFO. It took all I had not to ball my eyes out in front of them. It was prol the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. Which means all the collab pieces me and graham did are with me, richard, and richards friend who bought the first petal perc bub. I want to send one of the bubs to Hunter. I will contact you about it soon. I'M planin on building a memorial style case, like a lighted nice hand built wood frame case to house the bubs Im keeping as well as the dish dabber set. Hope to talk soon. ~JR

THIS KID BLEW MY MIND, Ive never felt on the same level in many aspects, equally as excited, and more comfartable while collabing than I did with Mt. Burn. Thats prior too and after! His bub construction style was something he had worked very hard to start to feel comfortable with and I believe it was going to be very successful for him . Im honered that I got to watch him work, I believe I was one of the only glass artists who did. I hope to try to use some of the techs for making these, that he showed me, in effort to keep his memory around. LOVE YA BROTHER, YOU ARE MISSED!

I got to smoke out of multiple styles of his bubs and they FUCKIN ROCKED!
