Herbert arnold zenit for sale
Hey Everyone, I am selling my herbert arnold zenit burner 40 mm. Here are some pictures. Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm asking $1600 plus shipping. That includes the blast shield and marver pad. I'm also including the propane reg that is normally sold separately with the torch for $150. Please let me know if you have any questions. There is a very small leak in one of the flanges inside the torch that comes and goes with the outside temp but it does not affect the performance makes the flame pop a little which is common with the herbies anyway. It was like that when I bought it new and I never sent it off to be fixed because it wasn't an issue. This is reflected in the price. I can send a video to anyone who is interested in seeing it being used. The torch probably has less than 300 use hours on it. This torch costs $2500 new.

Re: Herbert arnold zenit for sale
oh and the zenit is the new model which has a premix, the old ones are a surface mix. The old style is probabaly more similar to a gtt type centerfire in that it utilizes multiple candles where as the newer one is more like a cc centerfire. only used an old one once but not long enough to know the complete difference.

Re: Herbert arnold zenit for sale
the new style isn't premix, it just has a single propane jet inside a doughnut like ring of oxy. both of these you can individually control, so it kind of feels like a premix. the advantage to this set up is a bit more heat up the center, and having a little more specific fuel control. the old style has just 6 tiny oxy ports for a centerfire, none of those are for fuel. the fuel comes out of the next ring and is sandwiched in between the the oxy rings. many people prefer the new style

mmmmmmmmm doughnuts. Thanks for the info jason. I was mis informed. Why do people prefer the new style? I thought the older ones were more sought after
