I'm not sure which is which, but I would take the left route and enjoy the beauty of the Smoky Mountains, but that's just me and my fetish for mountains...

95 isn't bad between SC and VA. Traffic tends to suck it D.C. and Maryland.

I would def take the Smokey Mt. route if I were you. If you find yourself driving through the mountains durning the early mourning hours you're in for a treat. It's a beautiful area.

if you take the 95 rout you'll end up paying tolls in PA. it's the way i go, but i leave from DC instead of heading west half way between richmond and DC
    Thanks,

FoSo use the 79 route,I live at the junction of 70 and 79 , any time I go south to Oak Island this is the way to go,The other route uses alot of rural highways and less interstates. Its mostly all Interstate except for the WV passage from Beckly(at I 77) through a town called Summersville (be carefull here becouse of speed traps) To I 79. .After that your all highway to Slippery Rock PA.
Maybe a bunch of us could meet up here in Washington PA on Sunday Aug 12th (junction of 70 and 79) And get a Convoy going all the way to Wonka World
    That would Rock
