from lynx to barracuda to phantom in 1 second
congrats on the call and i hope you never hear "2 weeks" again
Greetings All,
So, as noted in my Barracuda ad, here is the Lynx. I got this thinking I would be waiting for my Phantom for a long time, but the gods have smiled upon me and my Phantom will be in my hands early next week! So this needs to go.
Lynx is in excellent shape. Woman I bought it from ( Same UK lady I bought the Brand New barracuda from) sold it as "like new"
I have only fired it up once today just to take pics of it.
Comes with torch mounted marver.
$400 Shipped CONUS.
Thanks!

I just realized that I didn't really get a good close up of the needle micro flame. I can assure you that the torch runs clean, all ports and candles clear and even.
I Just unwrapped my phantom

Well this should be an interesting sale .............
I have Paypal money via email to low tide to pay for this torch. Seems like I missed where he asked for a "gift" payment. Now he sends me an email stating that it will cost 3% more for just the straight transfer and he can not access his funds for 2 to 3 days. He now wants to send me the payment back minus the $12.00 fee and then resend him money as a gift.
Ok mods and veterans what is proper etiquette here and what is the amicable solution??
We just spoke via pm and have agreed to split it!!
Tyler I apologize for any misunderstanding on my part
Once again Thank You

He should just be able to do a straight refund and refund the entire amount (Paypal also refunds their cut of the fees).
Saying it's a gift does cheat paypal out of their cut for providing the service, and is technically against their terms of service. Also, I don't know how that works if there is an issue for the buyer and they need to file a complaint.
Amicable solution would be for you guys to agree to split the difference, as fighting over a few bucks on a $400 purchase is not worth anyones time. Also, as much as paypal sucks, they are providing a very nice service for you both to be able to quickly and reliably send money. Perhaps its worth it to pay the piper.
Sorry for the confusion here. Totally my fault.
I need to realize that some people know about gift payments, some don't. I am just kind of in a bind and couldn't wait the week or so for the payments to clear.
For larger items I usually do do the normal PayPal payment, since it protects the buyer and seller.
For smaller stuff I Iike to use gift payments, since it is instant. This wasn't supposed to be a public thing, sorry mods, for breaking any rules.
Thanks Byron for being so cooperative!

Looks like Low Tide had to pay to refund the first payment, I had to pay to gift................
Maybe someone else will learn from our mistakes ................................
Thanks All
