Sounds kind of cheap to me.... my first investment was like $5000 plus whatever I could aford on my credit cards. But that was when glass pipes first came out also.

ya i have to keep both jobs, because, i don't get cheap rent otherwise... so sadly i have to consider my self a rookie and a hobbyist, lowest of sorts on the glass blowing totem pole but i will be on top just take time and i have that.

Well at least you parents don't charge you rent like mine do. But I do have a studio I can live in with an attick attached that i can use as my drawing and painting studio and a mud room that I use as my glassblowing studio. I got to renovate it for me to use for a wile.

So, a fan in the window was a new idea to you? Ventilation is very important.

I am looking into finding a garage with an appartment above it on the same property as a midle class home. My parents want a smaller midle class home to retire in a couple years. We are looking for something for the both of us.
    THat is my next studio.

ya, i agree with you its going to be a 3000-4000 dollar set up when its full complete in a week, and once you start realizing what you need, what you can buy and what you can make, all that fun stuff,

anyway now i need some protection for all of this equipment,
12 gauge shotgun remington 870 express super mag,
and 20 rounds of non lethal rubber bullets, used on bear attacks, and 20 rounds of non lethal bean-bag rounds aka( hammer rounds) riot control.. ha ha

    think that should do it

I always just used a lock and I have a dog...... and I don't invite trouble in. No one knows what a glassblowing tool is for in the first place normally.

ya nice, screw the basement, that's a stupid idea pressured propane,+ pressured oxygen,= IED aka bomb under where you live, with all of that hot steel from your tools, torch, tanks, glass now you have a Frag IED flying every where, plus a 1150F kiln running, and no windows because its under the ground! very delicate situation! but understandable if no other choice! just chasen that hot glass!, if i was really fucked i would set one up in the basement and just start hitting it hard tho too...

Ok, I guess I have been shamed for calling shenanigans. Perhaps this thread should die as it no longer is about my setup and I find some cases of douchebaggery egregious.

Yeah I felt being a douchebag since others were. I like respect around here. I've seen too many heads some that I respect a lot get kicked from the mp.
