    Default Theborobakery progression thread

So i figure i will start a progression thread since i plan on renting a day every three weeks now. I took a lesson with "the moch" over a year ago and made some cool stuff (mushroom pendants and implosion pendants). This past weekend i rented a day at the shop. Well lets say it was a rough start. My first two marbles exploded because i was admiring them for two long and didn't put them in the kiln. As for everything else i made, i was upset with how the colors i chose to use were too translucent and didn't show up in the clear too well. I personally think everything i made looks pretty crappy but i guess that is to be expected when its your first day on the torch. The two pendants with horns look stupid but i just wanted to try making some horns. The dabber i made is my favorite even though it has no uniform shape and it was supposed to be a solid reversal.

Either way, i know what i can do better next time and i am pumped to get back on the torch after my next paycheck and churn out some much more quality work. Better color choices and focusing in on heat distribution, stringer placement, and cleaner shapes. I got impatient waiting for my pendants to gather back into a perfect circle because i didn't like how the design came out anyway. Well enough trashing myself. Not bad for your second day.

I would recommend that you head over to the request thread
    vvv
    Requests

and put in a ticket to change your name.

Some people around here will see your name, facepalm and move on. This issue comes up pretty commonly. Just a fair warning.

Thanks for the advice. I made that handle a long time ago. I have a good one in mind so I will put in the request. I would have done this a long time ago but had no idea we could and didn't just want to lose all my Pm's.
