Finnaly upgraded to a champion. Orion glass works hook me up big time. So far I have put one tank of oxygen through it an damn, it's so awesome. I can't believe I have it I never thought it would be possible. I for sure owe Orion a ton this is a game changer for me.

I also make another Sherlock and feel much closer to the look I want. Thank you stroker for taking the time to explain.

Its been over a year without glass for me but thats all about to change. I found studio space in a mill building in lowell. Its a super cool place with a ton of other artists.

I have my bench and just picked up my hood the other day. I also found a great deal on a f240. I have so much to do but thing are starting to come together. I am really looking forword to having a studio that i can share with others. Working in a tiny shed was getting real old.

Once thing are up and running anyone is welcome to come melt some glass. I'll try and keep some updates coming. Things should start moving a little quicker now as this is my first week jobless. Hahaha super exicted/nervous

Sweet studio space. I take it no load music because of the open space?

Looks like a great spot for a studio!

Love those mill buildings. I went to UMass Lowell.

One of my first times on the torch was studio rental time at the Riverside Mills in Nashua back in 2006.

    Good luck with it all!

    Thanks guys

If anyone is in lowell every first Saturday of the month is open studios. The building is called western ave studios. Their is over 250 rooms. Its a lot of fun to check out. All the hallways are filled with artwork and their are some really talented people there.

I got the hood hung and figured out how I'm going to vent it. I still have a ton of work but am hoping to get my ventilation done this week. Although i might have oversized things a bit. I have a 90x40 hood and 16in ducting. Im going to be moving aome serious air lol.

Almost done with ventilation. Its taken a lot of time figuring out how i wanna do it. I also picked up a awesome work bench so i been busy cleaning it up. Ill try and remember to get pics of the whole studio. Ive been scrapping the brick walls to get rid of chipping paint. It look so much better now.

I'll be roofing for the rest of the week so everything is on hold till next week. Cant wait to actually bring in my tools and equipment. Its getting close

Ventilation is set up and working really well. Still have a million things to do but really wanted to test my beth sharp. I was just using a 10lpm concentrator and it worked great.

Feels great to melt some glass again. Cait wait to get all my torch and lathe up and running.

Its really weird when I'm actully looking forward till the next day. Got to keep motivated and make things happening. I'm never not having a studio again

Glad to see you’re putting the hand torch to good use. The glass is looking great. I really like the implosion with the yellow backing and the little piggy. The shop looks like it is going to be awesome. It’s always a lot of work setting up but rewarding once it's all finished.

    Thanks guys,
It's really is a never ending project. I was able to get some help and i got my kilns and lathe in. I still dont have a 220 outlet yet so I can use the f240. The 120 has its first small load of pendants right now. I get some pics when i go there later today.

I'm going to start moving in my other torches really soon I just been reading up on liquid oxygen. Seems like its the best option for me.

Then the lathe. Super awesome to know i have it im just not to sure on how to go about it. I know it runs rough and need a really good cleaning a greasing. Its probably going to take sometime getting it going as i have i never ending list of shit to do.

Still waiting on oxygen man to check my credit. Im praying to the oxy gods to let me get liquid.

Also my concentrator decided to quit on me. I popped the cover off and the compressor was burning hot. Not sure if i can fix but either way I'm going to get oxygen next week. Hopefully liquid but anything at this point.
