Default safey lens for a camera?

I'd like to start recording various tutorials I receive and am trying to find some sort of a square chunk of the same material that's used in safety glasses. I don't really know what's its called or where to start looking... I figure a 2"x2" square would be good for a go pro camera... Any help?

Why don't you just buy a didy lens?

Please don't take this the wrong way, but if you're already lampworking and have no idea what sort of lenses are in your lampworking glasses, you may have more to be concerned with than your A/V needs.

Phillips and Aura are the two biggee's for lampworking lenses, start your research there.

Thanks to those that helped... Yes I'm fairly new and am learning the terminology. My safety squint I have is fine, I just didn't remember the term for the lens. I'd rather learn from a discussion based medium like a forum as opposed to sitting on Google trying to figure it out with random search queries...
