Hey guys, I need to make a new badge for the "Troll Patrol" and I haven't found a suitable image yet that I can get permission to use. Anyone feel like drawing a little sketch? It has to be pretty simple to fit in out little badges which are 25x44 pixels if I recall correctly.

I was thinking a pig in uniform or a cool looking troll, or something?

If you're able to help out, you'll get the grafx badge!

A troll holding a night stick would be cool. I have weak drawing skills though. I may give it a try if no one jumps on it. I can just create an image and resize it with infraview correct?

Yeah, but tiny for the badge, so there's not room for much detail. Like your gldg flame badge. You can't see them on the mobile apps, take a look at mine when you get a chance for examples.

I can't draw either, but I can edit just about anything to look like anything else.

"TROLL PATROL" won't fit in the badge, so what should we use?

this is what I came up with.... the Staff badge, but greener.

cuz we all know, trolls are green.

I thought it was a nice way to say "TROLL PATROL" for lack of fitting the full lettering into the badge. Just barely fit it into the small sizing specs for the badges too. lol

Im thinking and from what I remember From the hobbit. Sunlight is the best way to kill a troll so maybe a sun with a stone troll statue would be good ... Ive got a lot going on right now .. Jury ing into Big gallery and designing logo for Art Glass company. Im trying to get started. Plus starting school again ... and Ive been really sick as in really really sick .. but If you can give me two weeks I will try and make one with a sun and a stone troll. The whole notion of being a cop is really offensive .. Officer .. from Over seer .. Over seer from well plantations in the south .. I might be the only one who cares about this but ... I just don't think this forum needs any Images of Cops .. I do feel at times I could use a little more Light.

Ok, I know this is a tangent but digging into my language geek roots....

...Don't take etymology lessons from pop music.

The origin of "Officer" goes back to 14th Century French term "Oficier" for one who hold an office or has an official title.

Really the guy is mad smart .. and I would take his word over most other sources ...
Including Wikki ... If you think about it ... the word officer defiantly existed .. but the notion of police patrolling and giving people a hard time ... that is where the comparison starts to gain real validity.

Please watch the Video and listen ... In the song he highlights why he is making the comparison.
I would ask you sir .. would you really sit and argue with one of the greatest poets of the hip hop era .. about the use of language? I cannot provide proof or find where he sited the sources for his comparison .. but I have a feeling there was a reason behind it .. Krs1 simply does not strike me as the type to make blind statements. Maybe you should email him your findings and see what he thinks ? I am going with my gut on this one .. This is from the same sight about the use of officer "U.S. use in reference to policemen is from 1880s."
I would guess that what Krs 1 is getting at is that they did not use the term officer for police in the US untill after slavery.
and that the mixing of European cultures in the US lead to different word usages and meanings then there had been be for. The English word Overseer mixed with the french word Officer and became a word for Cop ... in the 1880's right around you know the Civil War an all that stuff ..

above is just a quick 15 min search on a subject Im shure Krs1 knows more about than both of us.

that video was entertaining, but not where I'd go for historical facts.

Seriously do like KRs1 and hadnt heard that song before, but i recognize parts of it that have been sampled in other songs.
