Shape your mouthpiece first thing, before you do any other shaping on the pipe. If you have it already even walled and tapered, it's much easier to clean and remove at the end. That will clean up the bit of extra thickness at the opening, which is the only thing I could find to critique.

I reall like the larger frit…not as many folks using that these days.

    Thanks Aymie!

I love the big frit. Especially striking colors.

The mouth piece is something i'm still working on. I was practicing the technique I saw on the revere glass video:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYTrysWsK_s
Obviously I still need to work on it.

I'm practicing though. Last night I did my first colab on a hammer style oil rig. I'll get pictures of that tonight.
In the meantime, here's some more pipes.

Hammerwith ground joints sticking up are harder for the typical user.

Switch up to a stand up rig and you can get better views for the user.

Haven't updated this in awhile. Been pretty busy and just signed up to make ~100 dichro spoons per week so my free time is getting even rarer.

July 7th marks the first anniversary since my friend talked me into getting behind the torch for the first time. If I keep working at it, I think I can go full time glass blower before my one year anniversary. I'm super excited. It's hard working a full time job AND pursuing something I love. I'd much rather just do something I love AND make a living from it.

    anyways:

Been doing pendant rigs for the last week or so. I've been getting pretty good feedback but i'm still working on their design.

I really enjoy this thread man, I'm 3 months in and can't wait to start rocking it like you at the 1 year mark. What do you do for work full time?
On the torch since August 2014. Looking to network and collab with local artists (Englewood, CO).
