Another local glass artist reached out to me the other day and was interested in learning fuming. She has been working with 104 and 96 coe glass mostly and has never tried it. She came by and I spent the afternoon showing her some different techniques and color combinations. She was amazed at the process and the different colors the metals produced. At the end of the afternoon I sent her home with some clear simax tube/rod, a couple pieces of silver and a piece of gold to practice with. Looking forward to see what she creates. Moral of the story is that we have a great community in glass and I am grateful to the people I know personally and others on this forum that have helped me along my journey in glass. I just felt really good about the fact that I can now pass on knowledge about this medium, that so many have passed on to me.

Most excellent man. There are so many genuine people working with this medium. I will say this that if you dont talk to other people about the processes for a long time while you refine your own process, it becomes difficult to relate what you are doing in words to others. I started helping one guy that was just a little behind me and i learned that the first thing in the way was getting our terms defined for what i was trying to explain. As i heard in a torch talk video one time, it can become this magical process that is hard to pass on.
