Just had probably the worst injury so far in my glass journey, tonight. (in just over 2 years) I made a couple of bubs this evening, and while finishing up the last one, I thought to myself, Il just make a simple mushroom marble to put on this last one for decoration. Well you can see where this is headed already. Sure enough, I was pushing the stringer into the clear when the 7 mil handle broke and cut me damn near to the bone on the tip of my middle finger. Ive read about this type of injury countless times here on the forum and knew it could happen. Well tonight was my night. I tried to stop the bleeding long enough to get some triple antibiotic ointment in it and get a butterfly band-aid around it. Either way, I made another mushroom marble afterwards and finished the piece. I know this is gonna bring ALL of the pain and suck tomorrow morning when I wake up but I will post pics of the finished products tomorrow.

I tried out some of my glow in the dark borobars. Same piece under a blacklight and in total darkness. Crappy cell pix dont really do the glow any justice.

A few pieces from yesterday. I got some odd scuzz in the fuming on the little spoon which wont burn off. I think its because i used too much oxy while laying down my dots and lines and the flame scorched the fume. I fumed another piece afterwards and used a neutral to reducing flame and didnt have that problem. Has anyone else had this happen, and if so is there a better way of keeping it from happening? Btw, I fumed light silver first, then heavy gold.

I also scored some new toys the other day, while at MGA. I really like the jaws scoring tool. They make perfect scores every time. I got the large set and they will even cut all the way down to 12 mil.

I like your style Zukie! You seem to gravitate toward same shapes and techniques that i do...except in really new and you're way better than me =P

It's my limited experience that you need more fume and/or a thinner bubble to get the really crazy honeycomb colors.

A few pieces I made on my day off yesterday. Still on the honeycomb kick and getting mixed results, but still not where I want them to be yet. The last pic is of my boss, "Simmons". He likes to hang out im the shop with me.

Good stuff Zukie, you seem to have unlocked the secrets of fume color. Seeing pictures of the difference in fume result right beside a clear explanation of how those results occurred is quite illuminating. Nice progression thread and thank you for sharing so many great pictures.

Looks good Zukie! Your stuff comes out clean! Do you just back your pendants with a big gather from a rod?
